At the end of July 2022, youth workers and young leaders from Germany, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary and Italy gathered to learn, exchange experiences and find out more about conflict transformation and non-violent communication through our project “Let’s Communicate for Peace!”

During the training course days, we learned about peace education and conflict roots, exchanged the current situation in our home countries, and went deeper into NVC (non-violent communication) steps. Also, we got to know ourselves and each other better while doing practical exercises and simulation activities for self-exploration and connection through authentic movements, theatre of oppressed, revealing identities and taking care of each other already using the principles of non-violent communication.

The last two days of the project were dedicated to practising when participants could propose their own activities, work on their development as a team and gain the competencies of facilitators. The project was full of active discussions, deep practices, new knowledge, intercultural encounters, exchange of opinions, and inspirational and emotional moments.
